Jeanne Bottin is a nutrition scientist at Danone Research, France, where she leads the Nutrition Standards and Positions team. She holds an MS in Food Science with a specialization in Human Nutrition and Biology from AgroParisTech, France, and a PhD in Nutrition and Endocrinology from Imperial College London, UK.
Her career spans diverse cultural and professional environments. She has worked with an NGO in Nigeria, researching the impact of nutritional supplementation on children’s growth and cognitive development, and at Fonterra in New Zealand, studying the rheology of processed cheese.
During her PhD, Jeanne conducted clinical research on appetite regulation in overweight, obese, and bariatric patients, gaining hands-on experience in clinical trials across nutrition, obesity, metabolism, body composition, dietary intake assessment, and behavior change. This work deepened her commitment to translating science into accessible education for global populations.
Driven by a passion to help the food industry enhance nutritional value for public health, Jeanne has held several roles at Danone. She has advanced hydration science with a focus on children’s health, supported the development of nutritionally-relevant products through dietary intake data collection in vulnerable populations across Africa, and more recently, led company-wide coordination of nutrition and ingredient positions and governance.
A mother of three boys, Jeanne brings boundless energy and contagious enthusiasm to every project, personal and professional. She is eager to support the European Leadership Nutrition Programme, profoundly convinced that public health progress depends on strong public-private partnerships and the collaboration of nutrition leaders working across diverse global settings.
