Professor Emilie Combet
(2021 – present)
I am a Professor Human Nutrition at the University of Glasgow (UoG), School of Medicine; my research focuses on the role of food and diet in sustaining lifelong health, with a particular interest in obesity, stress and their impact on health trajectories through life.
I originally trained in Lyon, France in biological and biochemical analytical techniques, before moving to the UK. My PhD was in the field of food quality, with postdoctoral research experience in nutritional biochemistry. My research involves human interventions, cross-sectional surveys as well as lab-based biomarker studies, and I also teach on the Master in Human Nutrition at UoG.
As a ENLP Advanced seminar alumna (2016), I have kept in touch with the network and enjoy interactions with colleagues working in different disciplines linked to nutrition. In particular, the ENLP Network has been a rich source of inspiration on how to collaborate effectively and creatively with others.
