We are delighted to announce that professor Victor Zevallos will be Essentials Co-Director (2025-) !
Professor Victor Zevallos completed his doctorate degree at King’s College London and worked at various research institutes in Europe and North America. He was recently appointed Professor in Nutritional Immunology and Microbiome at Karl Landsteiner University, Austria.
The ENLP network has been transformational for my career, as ENLP alumnus (2022), I had the pleasure to meet and maintain close connections with wonderful collegues across the world, leading to collaborative projects and most importantly, friendships.
I always wanted to be a scientist and, nutrition was a common theme throughtout my career. From a small but powerful Andean grain called quinoa to the well-known staple cereal, wheat. I met brilliant and inspirational scientists that helped develop my career for which I will always be thankful.
I would love to mentor and support the next generation of leaders in nutrition and paraphasing J. Crosby, I would like to pick your brain, be an ear that listens and guide you in the right direction.
